Systems Analyst - Business Objects and Oracle

Job Description:

Supports consumer banking reporting through use of Business Objects BI tools. Works with data warehousing via Sagent. May need to travel for training sessions with staff at member organizations. A significant amount of time will be spent on customer relations, report development and maintenance. Position will involve training others on the tools and becoming experts on the use of Business Objects for reporting purposes. A significant amount of coding of reports will be needed during the first 6 months of this position. Supports Business Objects users. Analyzes and resolves user problems, plans and designs modifications and new application systems and programs. Handles more complex setup, execution and evaluation assignments. Assists clients in implementation consulting and system usage and planning. Conduct analyses of systems and procedures, and recommends improvements. Provide support and maintenance of the decision support reporting and information distribution specific to the consumer banking needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge of Oracle database concepts. Knowledge of financial systems or consumer banking business processes is desired. Knowledge of Business Objects BI tools, techniques, administration required or complementary product experience (COGNOS). Ability to analyze and interpret business requirements into complex information retrieval and presentation is required. Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of file structures and access methods. This knowledge would be normally obtained through a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience, in Computer Science, Business, Banking of a related field and 2 or more years of related experience. Must possess analytical skills for documentation preparation, problem resolution, planning and designing programs, assessing application interdependencies, and analyzing client's functional operations. A well-rounded knowledge of analysis and design tools and techniques. Must possess written and verbal communication skills, to interact effectively with end users, IT staff and vendors. Ability to present to groups in order to assist in training and support activities. Must possess ability to work in teams. Some project management skills would be beneficial. Must possess ability to prioritize multiple projects. Must be comfortable in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
